Creating Affordable Aquaponic Solutions

Our vision is to provide a range of affordable products using aquaponics and advanced growing media systems, sharing this information to benefit all around the world.

Our parent company, Showkoi Ltd, a specialist in the aquatics industry and manufacturer of water holding tanks, primarily for fish, came across aquaponics in 2010 and has been gaining knowledge and developing products ever since.

The ever increasing population and climate changes mean modern farming techniques are required, utilising spaces not normally associated with farming and sustainable, renewable fertilisers.

Aquaponics, is a combination of aquaculture (growing fish) and hydroponics (soil-less growing of plants) in one system. The fish growth provides sustainable nutrients for the plants to grow, with soil-less growing allowing plants to be grown anywhere, organically and with higher productivity than conventional farming.

Our Systems

We have been developing aquaponics systems from our initial koi pond fed systems, acting like a vegetation biological filter, to grow salad greens, to small closed loop systems, growing a variety of plants within 2 miles of Sheffield City Centre.
